The Innards of my OVC
There's the itsy bitsy choke. The cube starter is only a little smaller lol. and there's that oddly placed terminal block lol. The ballast brackets are welded to the ballast like ITT's ballasts. I like the OVC. Nice compact light perfect for low wattage HPS lamps.

I never knew those holes on the slipfitter clamp were actually for the terminal block. Shocked

yep. i think only the OVC had the terminal block like this so i find it odd how they kept with the same fitter clamp after all these years. The slipfitter bolts are REALLY hard to turn. not only is it hard to turn, but a wrench and even a socket wrench are a bit tricky to manuver in the tight space. i always thought those circles in the reflector went inward, turned out they're extruded.

I'm guessing a socket wrench with a extension (like what you change a spark plug with) will do the trick.

hmm I wonder if i have an extension... if i do that would work...

Three things. Cooper still uses this terminal block mounting in the 250 watt version of the OVZ. Second, a 9/16" deep socket works just as well. And third, this is a late-80s version. Porcelain terminal block is the giveaway.

I think most people don't have a full set of deep sockets, but most basic socket sets come with an extension...

lates 80s is close. This was made 27th week of 1990. the PC sokcet is the same as westie's too but it does't have removable wires. I need a cooper PC socket to replace the one in my westie NEMA but need a socket with slip on spades since i don't want to modify the NEMA head's wiring.
