Cool, it looks like California still has a sizable amount of MVs still in use on the streets. Over here in Southern Ontario, the streetlighting here is almost completely HPS except for Toronto which has some MH lights. I haven't seen a MV streetlight here since the big changeover in the early-mid '90s.

Dave are you sure the Silverliner is a late 60s??? Did it lack the cast front rim refractor holders? That's one easiest way to find out is the design of the refractor rim.......this is also a fairly common sight in my area!!! I see those mixed in too!!!

Yep I checked it's the older one.

I've seen MV sprinkled all over Cupertino, in residential areas and on main streets. There are a couple of streets around here that have HPS down one side, and LPS on the other and if you go off the main street on the HPS side, all the lights are HPS, if you go down a street on the other side all the lights are LPS, very odd.

that GE looks like it has the Wrong Refractor on it?

@ Devonte; yep, that's a Westinghouse style refractor. These and the M-250R2 look pretty cool with westie lenses. Smile

Update! Cupertino has gone to induction in rebuilt cobraheads, on Street View it appears the OV-15 was replaced, but they missed the M-250R1! Talk about being missed TWICE!

Cool that it survived two changeouts.
