Nice old Mercury Back lit Sign!
Here is a cool old sign directing you to the local curling rink, I don't know how old it is but it looks to have a 100 watt merc as a back light which still works! Sadly this didn't get moved over to the new pole during an upgrade and likely ended up in the utility company's dumpster. I've never seen a mercury version of this before! The ones that were used in Toronto and Markham were incadescent.

Too bad it got scrapped though. Confused

Yeah I guess they are the same style of fixture, I wonder when this was installed? Maybe the 50s... I wish I had known this was coming down, I would really of like to have this, heck even the lamps and ballast would of been nice. Crying or Very sad

I'm not sure when this design came out but I believe the ones in Toronto were installed sometime around the mid 60s.
