Electripak yard light- update
Here it is again- my Electripak yardblaster only this time I ditched the taped-up refractor.
This thing is already 20 years old, and it shows. Although sightly corroded with a crack in the head, this thing still has (to the best of my knowledge) it's original ballast, lamp, and photocontrol, without many hours on those components either since it spent years disconnected at a house my dad lived in in the 80s-early 90s. He installed it (probably in '93-'94) and it was used occasionally, got disconnected, and sat until 2010 when it was removed, sat around for awhile, then was finally pulled out and plugged in (was always wired to a cord). I know the people who live in the house now, and they gave me the light after we tested it for a Secret Santa present in 2011. This is it's third location since I have owned it, and I still plan to move it once again someday to a better spot.

ahh yeah this has one of those cheesy 9" buckets. Razz If you get a new bucket I'd try a 12" one if you can find it. a 9" one seems too small for a ED28 lamp IMO. They're alright for cram lamps but look too small for regular sized lamps IMO.

Thing is, how close would it be to the wall? Would prolly be fine but I'd get whatever size I find first...
And when this thing gets moved once again I want to put it on an extension arm.

House dosen't look code complaint. Shocked

It's far from any applicable codes...I live outside of any major city so it's pretty much "Every Man for Himself" (AKA no building permits needed, stick up whatever you want, etc.) but I guess state and national codes could apply.
Even if they did develop codes, the house would be "Grandfathered-in".
We eventually plan to tear this place down and build something more efficient, nicer, etc.
This place was built at many different times (and still isn't totally finished) hence some of the odd construction you see.

I'm pretty sure there's still some basic standard you have to follow...And really a better constructed house will be a lot safer...

That's in the making someday.
Overall it isn't as bad as this pic makes it look...
I bet to sell it/ get it insured/ etc. it would need to be brought up to some basic standards...
