These were sold through True-Value hardware store.

Yeah, that's what I was guessing too...

what's the copyright date on the box above the proof of purchase label? the lamp will be from that year or a few years later.

1997 and it mentions Angelo Brothers CO. (ABCO) which was also a True-Value brand...so this likely came from a True Value store in Sitka, AK in the late 90s. They (and the probably-vintage other version of the Ring-O-Lite) have True-Value price stickers...
The ACE ones are copyrighted 1994 and have ACE pricemarks.

Angelo Brothers CO. (ABCO) wasn't a True Value brand...They're an importer for cheap lamps which bought the Westinghouse name in the late 90s to used on their lamps which is why they're called fake Westy now.

The rebrand from ABCO does look True Value though...

Hmm, I thought they were somehow involved with True Value since I already knew Value-Bright was a True-Value brand and I knew the "new" westinghouse bulbs are really made by ABCO (which I see at True-Value).
Do you guys have True-Value stores in Canada?
