I have a few two lamp and one four lamp version of that instant start Sylvania ballast.

Yes electronic ballasts are quieter then magnetic, but i like that buzzzzzz sound. My cooper strip light had a GE Proline electronic F40 RS ballast in it. Seems like Cooper doesn't make their own fluorescent ballasts, which is probably for the better....

Quicktronic is actually the brand under which Sylvania sells their electronic ballasts so it is indeed a Quicktronic ballast.

sylvnaia ballasts are good stuff, we use them at school ...sure they fail but not as often as others Laughing

and whats the code on the Altos? the Alto 2 lamps are great exempt 2008-2009 were junk years lol
