General Electric M-250 R1 insides.
I put the ballast from that busted M-250 R2 in this fixture, and mounted it MUCH better than it was mounted with the AE ballast.

How does this look? It might be hard to see though..

the ignitor is a tight fit though.. I hope I did well with that, there isn't many good screw holes for the ignitor so I used that one... xD

Is it me, or the arm is all squeezed? XD
LilCinnamon   [Jan 03, 2012 at 11:46 PM]
the arm is squeezed, those cheapo yardblaster arms can not take much force. xD

I might need a new arm.
streetlight98   [Jan 04, 2012 at 12:18 AM]
Ahh. A little bend won't hurt it. My OV10 virtually drills two holes through my yardblaster arm lol. The bare bolts actually hold the arm to the light. I think my OV25 is meant for 2" pipes though since my yardblaster arm only holds is snugly, but not really tightly like it should.
joe_347V   [Jan 04, 2012 at 01:15 AM]
Ian you should get a MTO truss arm, they can even hold up the B2213. Laughing

The clamp on the slipfitter is different from mine, it looks like an older design!
streetlight98   [Jan 04, 2012 at 01:30 AM]
My M-400's clamp is identical to this one.
LilCinnamon   [Jan 04, 2012 at 01:31 AM]
I am not sure the age of my light, I would have to look at the label, but I think the label was thrown away by my parents thinking it was trash, so the date is long gone. All I know it is an 80's fixture. xD

My guess this was made around the time as my M-400 A1.
joe_347V   [Jan 04, 2012 at 01:31 AM]
Looks a lot like my R47's clamp although I can't tell if yours has the rocker.

@Ian, is there any date on the original ballast/ignitor/cap?
streetlight98   [Jan 04, 2012 at 01:37 AM]
Yeah this one also has the same rocker as my M-400. When I mount my M-400 on the fence for a party, I use my steel yardblaster arm and actually mount the M-400 on the stopper to make it aim way up. Shocked Razz Since it's only about 4 1/2 feet off the ground, it needs to be aimed WAY up to light a reasonable amount of yard. Otherwise it lights the ground below it like the sun a noon and the rest of the yard is lit with the glow of a flashlight. Laughing
LilCinnamon   [Jan 04, 2012 at 01:42 AM]
This didn't come with a capacitor, it had a 240 volt reactor ballast. And I don't think the ballast or the ignitor would show the date. But I can look.

And how is the ballast mounted in this thing? I tried my best, and I think I did a good job.
streetlight98   [Jan 04, 2012 at 01:51 AM]
You did a good job. Smile The ballast is almost hidden under the bracket though lol. Laughing
Antstar85   [Jan 04, 2012 at 02:26 AM]
My R1 has a different type of bracket that holds the ballast. The slipfitter seems close to mine.

Is that the ignitor base I sent you?
LilCinnamon   [Jan 04, 2012 at 02:47 AM]
That is the IGNITOR you sent me (and the base), I wanted you to send me that ignitor to use with this ballast as the other one broke.

Thanks for sending it to me BTW, it works great!

And you have the older version, the M-250 R, not the M-250 R1 (even though they are supposed the same fixture but we called it the R1 to clarify), so you have the model before this.
Silverliner14B   [Jan 04, 2012 at 05:38 AM]
Looks like it has a smaller version of the reflector found in my M-400R2.
Antstar85   [Jan 04, 2012 at 10:39 AM]
I have both versions of the M-250R, the one from the 60's and the one from the 70's which I had mounted on my shed.

Also, I'm glad the ignitor and base worked for you Ian.
LilCinnamon   [Jan 04, 2012 at 12:56 PM]
Oh Duh I forgot. xDD That M-250 R1 was one of your first. How could I forget that? xDD

The M-250 R2 has the same reflector pattern as this one for FCO, Just tiny differences. The M-400 R2 has a bit of differences, I have an FCO M-400 R2 reflector myself (from that M-400 R2) And there are differences.
