Never seen a 3-light setup like this before, usually it's two or four in parking lots like this...

Three lamp poles are common with 1000W fixtures here while 400W fixtures in parking lots usually use either two or four arms.

Hmm, most parking lots here had either two or four lamp poles and that was with both 400w and 1000w fixtures.

I noticed installations that were originally HPS are more common for 3-headed poles. There's a Price Rite in Cranston on Elmwood Ave (bad section) that has smaller versions of these poles with Crouse-Hinds L-250s.

The kmart i work at has both 1,3 and 4 lights on a pole. .most are 1Kw MV and retrofits are 400W (probably) newer retrofits are 1Kw MH it seems. ..all fixtures but a few are GE M-1000'S
