Why not 890 lumens? Seems like a way to fool the consumer into thinking a CFL is better and brighter...these would be more efficient if they were still 890 lumens like they used to be...

I know, crazy! Confused

Anyone else notice the lifetime switched from hours to years. I wonder why they did that. Neutral

Hmm interesting...I've always wondered why they didn't make bulbs like this that had a slightly increased wattage so that they are still long life, but as bright as a standard life bulb...
Am I the only one who doesn't particularly care for the new/current packaging design for GE, Sylvania, and Philips? I miss the "Lightstyles for Lifestyles" GE packaging, bulb, and etch designs (ooh those were the awesome days when 60w bulbs had vertical CC-8 filaments and all wattages had higher lumens), the Philips "Shield" logo/packaging/etch, and I've just never liked Sylvania's packaging...am I the only one?
If I could find older GE and Philips lamps that's what I'd use...
