Lumi-Kon LPF ballast
This is the same fixture the first Norelco lamp I ever saw was in...I have the lamp too now. Oddly, this ballast lights only one lamp, and at full brightness. Any ideas why?

Hmm interesting. BTW, this is a NPF ballast. it even says it on the ballast. Razz I think LPF ballasts have capacitors just like HPF to lower the power factor.

I'm almost certain they don't hence the smaller size compared to a HPF one.
LPF is the same as NPF, if that's what you're thinking. LOW power factor (NORMAL power factor) Laughing

Yeah LPF ballasts are just a core and coil. They might have a tiny cap as a starting aid though.

Interesting, never knew about the starting aid!
