Light & Power Along Border
Hey Jace,we were talking one time about lighting and power along the Canada/US border, some parts I believe have powerlines and lighting each side of the border but I have to find the time to drive there and take a look. Here is a pic in Abbotsford along the border line (silver monument) ,these powerlines are 5/6 feet from the border, seems kinda odd just to take a step into another country LOL,here are a couple rare galvanized steel power poles, and a 100W HPS Crouse-Hinds OVC can be seen in the distance.

I'm guessing Washington state since he's in BC, I've never seen a border like this one here before in Ontario but I have heard of some smaller border crossings between Canada and the US are like this one. Thanks for showing this Darren!

Yep,that is Washington State to the right of the monument, these monuments are seen along the border line spaced approximately every mile or so.This is Boundary Road in Abbotsford which runs along the border, this is looking East, the actual border crossing and customs etc. between Canada and the US is West of here (behind me) about a mile.

Metal utility poles wouldn't be good if the coating on the wires came off. Shocked
