Wall Pack - LED Pack or Retrofitted?
I can't tell if they retrofitted the old HPS wallpacks. These packs are under a bridge on a stretch of pathway that was also converted to LED (seen in the previous upload). First time I've seen LED wallpacks. I could barely tell it's LED, I tried to get my camera to see the LED matrix I saw behind the refractor.

Looks like the path lights are in for a mass retrofitting

Looks to me like they installed new factory-LED wallpacks. My school has wallpacks like that. Retrofitting to LED is very uncommon. Most places opt to replace the fixtures with new LEDs.

I've seem some wallpacks like this too. In theory they could be retrofitted but I think they're most likely a case of the fixture manufacturer adapting a HID fixture housing to LED.

...which is a shame, because a fixture designed for LED from the beginning will almost certainly be better at dissipating heat.

Some of the wallpacks at my school that look just like this have been dayburning for two years now and they don't seem to have had any heat damage so I'd say these fixtures are adequate at dissipating heat. They sure look better than most of the LED-designed outdoor fixtures. I sure wish LED cobraheads had taken off but it's all about slim/low profile now. Confused Rolling Eyes
