Large Upsweep Arms, OVF [Now Cree'd 2018]
Here it is, beefed up mounting hardware included. The OVF looks decent in this configuration, to me. First projects used random patterns of luminaires in a row, now it's arms (notice the second arm is the common plate mounted style). This is on the highway dividing Brampton and Vaughan in Ontario, Canada.

Glad you got the photos of them. I know Joe wanted to see them and I totally forgot about getting the photos! Embarrassed Cool They are nice arms, seeing them more frequently would be neat. Im not sure if the OVF's on the wooden line poles are permanent or not.

I did Razz and thanks for the pic! Anyway these were also used on Highway 7 through Richmond Hill (with FCO B2255, model 25, OV-25, 125) as temporary lights back when the VIVA bus lanes were still under construction.

no prob dudes, I wanted these photos too.

@model25: It was a nice surprise when these were installed as Brampton stopped using plate mounted upsweeps after 2010? I'd say the traditional 10' e arms on the wodden poles are permanent. Although, when Countryside Drive was widened, they randomly replaced new 6' arms they installed to 8' ones...

@joe: I have a hunch these could be those same used arms from the VIVA highway 7 construction. Many arms have what looks like dirt or stains on them.

That may very well be true.

The arms are the same and they didn't use them on the whole stretch but just on that tiny portion. So I think your hunch might be correct Smile

On Bovaird Drive I think the streetside upsweep arms are being replaced with higher aluminum poles on the median at some bus bays. I suspect this as they are upgrading 250W OVX's to 400W fixtures at bus bays, and they as they want to mount them higher, they can't on streetside hydro poles that are in the way?

What about the concrete ones? I hope they dont remove the upsweep OVX's. Only new polefab installations here since 2005

All poles in the vicinity of the project intersections are being OVF'ed. And two upsweeps on polefabs came down on Bovaird @Kennedy this week. They've been replaced with 400W OVF's on 8' arms on high concrete poles, as there are no powerline poles in the way streetside. Other intesections have no room for streetside high poles... I would prefer they just upgraded to the massive upsweeps seen on this page, as they do put 400W on them.
