Line Material Unistyle 175
Here is how I mounted the ballast bracket inside my Unistyle 175. Since the bracket was just barely long enough to tighten the screws onto, I bought 4 large washers and sandwiched the ballast bracket between 2 washers on each side.

Clever thinking and it works great too!

I know an even better way to mount, and that's using aluminum bars. I mounted ballasts in two of my OV25s that way. I just don't trust "clamping" fender washers like this.

Yeah I would have preferred to mount the ballast by setting it in the fixture and putting a metal bar across the top of it, and use screws to push the metal bar against the ballast to hold it in the fixture. But this is the bracket that came with the ballast and I just tried to make this one work. I don't really like the way this looks. Especially because of how the bracket is holding the ballast on one side, instead of having two brackets. But because this fixture is so old, I don't want to risk stripping out any threads in this fixture by messing with it too much. So I will probably leave it like this. So far the ballast is held in there pretty tight.

Yeah i don't like how they only give one bracket, i think there should be two. Perhaps email Joe and ask for a pic of the inside of another Unistyle to see how the original ballast would have been mounted?

Yeah the lower wattage ballast kits only include one bracket. If you have a drill and a hacksaw, making a new set out of angle aluminum is a snap.

@Mike, Joe Maurath had sent me pics of his Unistyle. The inside was completely different how everything mounted.
@Joe, I might try that if I change my mind and decide not to leave it like this.
