Looks like this one has a plug in ignitor, and I don't even have to look inside it to know that! xD
TiCoune66   [Jan 02, 2012 at 12:24 AM]
I guess there's a suffix for a plug-in ignitor in the model number?
LilCinnamon   [Jan 02, 2012 at 01:21 AM]
Yeah the "OP"
joe_347V   [Jan 02, 2012 at 03:38 AM]
And it has a 120v single tap CWA ballast, Type 3 distribution, Polycarbonate refractor which is missing. Razz
LilCinnamon   [Jan 02, 2012 at 04:37 AM]
No, this is a full cutoff fixture, it has the flat glass in there.
joe_347V   [Jan 02, 2012 at 04:55 AM]
Odd it has the "DP" suffix for drop lens - polycarbonate instead of the "FG" suffix for flat glass. Confused
streetlight98   [Jan 02, 2012 at 09:24 PM]
Joes right... DA is drop acrylic, DP is drop polycarbonate, DG drop glass, and FG is flat glass.
LilCinnamon   [Jan 02, 2012 at 10:01 PM]
That is odd, Maybe it's a factory defect or linemen put a flat glass in there. I dunno.
joe_347V   [Jan 02, 2012 at 10:03 PM]
Maybe it broke and then someone replaced it with a flat glass.
LilCinnamon   [Jan 02, 2012 at 10:07 PM]
My guess is they ordered a Drop lens polycarbonate, maybe on accident, and since Xcel energy favors FCO before they put it up they put a flat glass in there.

250 watt with a poly refractor?
ZarlogH46   [May 05, 2019 at 01:49 PM]
Yep, for some reason AEL will let you order a polycarbonate refractor up to 250w HPS/MH on the 115 and 400w HPS on the 315! Shocked I'm guessing it would last about 3 months or so at the most before disintegrating on the 400w HPS, and from what I have observed it would probably last about a year on 250w. What I think happened here is the original polycarbonate refractor became so brown and brittle that it broke apart and so they put an FCO glass in it.
