[Gone] GE M-400A Here's a soon to be removed GE M-400A at the Cambridge Service Centre that's going to be closed and demolished in a few days(the 7th actually), so they could build a new one in it's place. Judging from the ones already built, the lights that the new one will use are grey FCO shoeboxes. Interestingly this GE has a external nameplate like the Powerlite lumes but dosen't have a NEMA tag.

Well I doubt it will be demolished right away, they have to clear it out shut off the utility's, nice shots anyway, I am sure going to try to save at least one of each.

I see the little extruded line for one, so it must be mercury. The MV ones didn't have tags at first.

I believe most if not all of the lights here were MV.

Well maybe that's all they have to do. They are HPS, I saw them lit at night, they could of been retrofitted.

This glass looks cracked. Sad Like Niall said, these could have been retrofitted. Then again, this has a latch on the P-door so it may be factory soduim. I know my catalog says only the Lucalox doors came with the latch, but things can change. Most the HPS M-400 split doors and M-400A came with NEMA labels. The mercury GE cobraheads didn't until the late 70's.

I start school on Tuesday. I was suposedto start last tuesday but the schools didn'thave power until yester day. Rolling Eyes i don'tthink i have to make them up though because RI declared a state of emergency.

That's true, the Barrie service centre was closed for at least six months before I took that pic of the B2213s.

Oh and these are still up as of Friday.

Yeah, when do you start? We start the last week of August and end usually the 2nd to last day of school if we don't get any snowdays.

Here it is the first weekday after labour day, which is next Tuesday.

Most schools in Ontario start on the Tuesday after Labour Day, but this might vary by school and school board.

That's when i happento be starting this year. It used to be that way a longtimeago,but itchanged. Confused
