This Gull gave me a nasty glare as I took it's picture, maybe it was guarding the MV light?

When this bird gave you a nasty stare, you've got Seagulled Razz Laughing

Eww. i sure wouldn't want to pull that off the mast arm when it's time comes. Shocked The PC is looking right at the gull. Laughing

I would, it's worth it for a light! That gull looks rather messy, it needs some combing!
GullWhiz   [Aug 19, 2011 at 10:12 PM]
Michael, if you become a lineman, you will HAVE to pull that when it comes...but actually..A LOT of streetlights I get have messy stuff INSIDE! Dead bugs, feathers, even turds inside!

I think Joe roughed it up before he took a pic.....he's a suspect for gull ASSAULT!

By the way the photocell on top looks pretty new...I guess this merc was pretty recently serviced!

Shocked Gull Assault?

Anyways, the two streetlights I got were pretty nasty inside so I guess I don't mind pulling that off. But I'll have to give it a nice pressure washing if it's going to live inside.

That's why i don't think im going to be a lineman. The lights i get are usually very clean exept for spider webs. I'm sort of a germ freak, so droplings aren't really my thing. I don't mind dead insects and spiderwebs though.

Both of my lights came with free bird nests, and according to Niall one even came with a roasted bird. Shocked

One of my friends GE M-250R1 had two dead squirrels in it after the fixture caught fire and burned the wires! Amazingly the ballast and all the electrical components survived! Poor squirrels didn't though! The fixture was removed from service and my friend fixed the fixture and now is in his collection!

Shocked That's just creepy!
gailgrove   [Aug 20, 2011 at 06:55 PM]
Yeah, the dead bird was a surprise! Many of my fixtures have had nests in them, both bird and wasps, the worst was the live wasp nest I got in my first OV-15!

That live wasp nest sounds scary! Shocked
