The Internals of the RMA NEMA Head

The bottom twists into two screws and the screws are tightened down to hold it in place in the top of the head. The reason why the PC socket is extended above the rest of the head is because the ballast assembly goes right up the the top of the head and the PC need room to be installed. the NEMA gets pretty hot but I believe that's typical of NEMAs. It's kinda loud too which i like. I don't know why but I've always loved buzzy NEMA heads. The ballast can be installed in a cobrahead if the brackets are removed but the screws to remove the brackets were varnished over so that's not possible. For some reason, Westinghouse liked to varnish their ballasts after the leads and brackets were installed so they can't be removed... the Wires all had varnish on them but most of it was cracked off or came off when i removed the ballast assembly.
