I have a few CMH lamps myself, some are powerballs, some are in cylinder shape then some are kinda oval shaped.....most of my CMH lamps are between 20 watt to 100....don't have anything higher than that

why are the electrodes so far down the arc tube instead of in the bubble area of the arc tube?

@streetlight98: The long stem between the arc tube is to reduce thermal stress at the seals between the electrodes wire and the ceramic material.

Ahh so the electrodes are actually in the arc tube and it's just the wire running through the stem?
