I've seen lights like these before. The first place is at a closed down Apex store in Pawtucket, RI. You can see it from I-95. The other is a couple lights at i think an autoparts store off of US Rte 1 in southeastern MA.
The ones at Apex i think are MV, though they could be MH. I have a hard time telling MH and MV apart from memory becuase when i saw a kid, i only knew of "Fanta glow lights" (the orange soda lol) and "white glow" lights. It's been years since the Apex lights have been lit. I think there are globe post top lights too. They have clear lamps though i never payed any attention to the arc tubes as a kid. When i was a kid, a "painted bulb" meant "white glow" and a "clear lamp" meant "fanta glow". Or couse that's not entirely true, but MH was only used in shoe boxes and modern floodlights, which i never bothered to look at. coated mercs were always used around here since they came out...
60's/70's is probably a good estimate on age judging by the age of some of the buildings in that area
When I was a kid I always liked the blue-ish color of MV streetlights (I'm guessing the ones in my neighborhood were clear lamp type)
At some point those were all converted to HPS (I hated that color & never quite got why they'd change to something 'ugly' like that LOL)
I'm not sure MH existed at that time? I sure don't remember there being any pure white streetlights back then...
