I've never seen one of these on a utility pole here. I've seen tons of these on the interstates and freeways though.

If You ever drive along the Mass Pike in Chicopee, MA, you will see these off the highway on the regular streets.
streetlight98   [Sep 24, 2011 at 09:09 PM]
Is that near the Big E? If so i've seen them.
Antstar85   [Sep 24, 2011 at 09:10 PM]
There are some up near the Big E but no this light is not. This is right along the mass pike. My company does not serve this city but we do serve West Springfield which is where the Big E is located.

I went there a couple years ago, but don't really remember what lights were there. I remember seeing 1000w AEL 327s in a parking lot though. The lights were in threes on tall poles.

they have these all over my city, they're common as dirt....or gulls as jace says. Razz

ours are HPS but small amounts of Mercury ones exist in other towns.
Antstar85   [Sep 24, 2011 at 09:47 PM]
I have not seen one Mercury one at all in my area.
streetlight98   [Sep 24, 2011 at 09:56 PM]
Not here either. I've seen one MV series 25, but it was in Rocky Point Park. The old park is open to the public again. By that I mean there's a side walk that goes alolng the outside of the park, not allowing you to go into the park. Mad i liked it better when it was closed to the public because I used to sneak in there with my grandpa.

CLICK HERE to see a Mercury OVM in Kerens,Texas a small town who currently still has some old mercs up.
Antstar85   [Sep 24, 2011 at 10:10 PM]
@ Mike, where those poles in a parking lot near the Big Y on the main drive heading toward the Big E. @ form109, cool to see those in mercury. I hope you are not going through a LED swap out likes whats happening up here in Mass.
streetlight98   [Sep 24, 2011 at 10:21 PM]
Yes. the lights were on a major road right near the Big E.
Form109   [Sep 24, 2011 at 10:22 PM]
well Waco,Texas is apparently going to do an LED swap which is a shame as that city still had TONS of mercury up.
streetlight98   [Sep 24, 2011 at 10:23 PM]
Luckily here there are no LEDs yet, but I've heard some talk of an LED test in my city. Mad Crying or Very sad
Antstar85   [Sep 24, 2011 at 10:28 PM]
I know what ones you are talking about, there still there Mike. @ form109, yep I hear you, My old hometown just replaced 3/4 of its lights with LEDs. Its to bad because they had old model 25s up to.
mercuryvaporrocks   [Sep 25, 2011 at 12:10 AM]
There's 400 watt mercury vapor versions of these in my area. I've never seen any in HPS (except on state owned highways, all their streetlights are 200 watt HPS).

Haven't seen any OVMs in Canada, and I'm not sure if they were sold up here.
streetlight98   [Sep 25, 2011 at 01:55 AM]
The canadian OV25 and OV15 may have kept the OVS and M out of canada....
NiMo   [Sep 25, 2011 at 02:58 AM]
Actually, they did. Before the Peace Bridge here in Buffalo and Ft. Erie, Ont. was refitted with OVF luminaires, the poles had Crouse-Hinds OV25s on one side and OVMs on the other. On the Canadian side there were Canadian Crouse-Hinds OV25s.
