The Dura Star 30 looks better than the Dura Star 20 but neither look too nice lol.

Funny thing was this town Installed series 20's up to 150 watts and M-250R2's for 250 watts, guess they decided to stick with AEL all around. This town is a Municipal Owned Utility.

Sticking with AEL wouldn't be a bad move if they used the 115 and 125 or 315 and 325... I know Rte 146 (i think it's 146) at the Mass Pike uses 115s on black deco poles. the first half of the section is with a crazy mix of FCO GEs, Hubbells, AELs, Thomas & Betts, and Cooper lights with no PC sockets and the black paint wearing off, showing the gray paint underneath or bare metal. then all of a sudden every light is a black 250W HPS drop lens 115 with an intermatic shorting cap.

Before this Utility went Durastar, They used 113's for all installs.

I think sometime in 2000 or so. Anyway the Dura 30 looks less lumpy and therefore better than the Dura 20. Razz

My utility messed around with Durastars in the early 2000s but now they been 125/115 and Cooper fans.

I saw the first durastars installed in 1997 in Holyoke during a road widening project. South Hadley wasn't much longer after that.
