Ugly like vomit! I bet this is the one that killed that rare 100w MH AEL 115.

Boston is in the process of phasing out all HID lighting.

They will go from incandescent to LED! Laughing

Yep. They can use these: Laughing

Well do you prefer sticking a LED lamp inside or a CFL? Laughing

Personally I would just get some 70-100w MH ballast cans and some 3000K CMH lamps.

They're way too lazy to do that! Razz I'd go for the LED personally. CFL is more economical, but LED seems more "heavy duty" to me.

They're mainly phasing out Mercury Vapor for LED in Boston.

Well easthampton here in the western half of the state originally said they were only replacing the streetlights downtown with LED. they eneded up replacing every cobrahead with LED and now are looking for a post top LED to finish off all the HID lighting in the city. MORE than likely boston will end up replacing most fixtures out to LED, it's just a matter of time.

in my city mercury stuck around alot later on residental streets than the arterial roads....in most area's of my city 175 Watt bucket nema's still light up residental area's and most still work.

My former city Pittsburgh is doing the same thing with their streetlights, they're replacing all 40,000 of them with LED's.

Los Angeles is also phasing out most HID lights in favor of LEDs, but I believe some of the HID lights will stay in service for a long time to come.
