Nice find, I wonder how much that pole weighs????? Shocked
streetlight98   [Aug 07, 2012 at 07:24 PM]
It's sure under a lot of stress with four M-1000s on it lol.

I wonder if this sucker is heavier than this pole? Razz
GullWhiz   [Aug 08, 2012 at 04:32 PM]
The pole is steel, it helps a lot! The aluminum would have harder time...but still possible totally, because I have seen aluminum hold GE M-1000s a lot in my area!
streetlight98   [Aug 08, 2012 at 10:41 PM]
Over time the steel will become weaker and more likely to fail at the base. The weld where the shaft meets the base is always the weakest part of the pole, or so i read from Hapco.

Well the pole in the pic I linked was aluminium, I wonder if it's having a hard time holding up four B2213s.

I wonder...would it be about 280 lbs of lights mounted up there?
streetlight98   [Aug 10, 2012 at 02:50 PM]
These are about 60 pounds according to my 1977 GE roadway PDF so about 240 pounds of lights on that pole. Shocked
