Hmm I wonder how you would sue a lamp. Does the lamp have to testify for itself? Does the lamp have the right to an attorney? Laughing

It's sposed to say "use" but they got the letters mixed up lol.

Yep it's supposed to say "Do not use this lamp in a fixture which redirects a substantial portion of the energy toward the arc tube and its immediate vicinity, as this may lead to very early failure". [cough]OVX[/cough]

Oh and here's another typo it's on the far right 3rd row from the heading that starts with CAUTION : "If the out bulb is broken..." Laughing

I never knew that MV lamps have sodium in the arc tube. (2nd typo).

You're right. They don't have sodium in the arc tube even though they say so. It is probably because that is the generic warning that they also might use for high pressure sodium lamps, so that could be a reason why they say it contains sodium and mercury, even though it doesn't acutally contain sodium.

I recently bought this lamp, and it had the error of sodium/mercury, but didn't say "sue" instead of "use".

That's what happens when the sleeve is translated into English instead of typed up by someone who actually understands the language. Same thing for the French text on major brand sleeves. i've heard that's pretty messed up at times too. Laughing
