the BEST custom rig I have ever seen! Now I know we all hate those red neck custom fits or whatever and ending up making things look messy... This on the other hand, is actually the best most creative way of doing it. Plus it is better doing this than mounting it directly on the roof making it light upward! I recall there was another fixture on that spot, so this is a new replacement, and it looks like they used a flat screen TV mount or something to make this work. I must admit even though it may not be up to code, but I actually say its acceptable! It is neat, clean look. It makes the fixture nicely flushed and parallel to reality! Keywords: Light_Humor!

Looks like a satellite dish mounting arm! Probably the most creative and smart homemade fixture installation I've ever seen!

I think roof is a bit too low for a floodlight.....it's a very small parking too.....

Looks pretty ok, looks a lot better than most of the other fixture "modifications" I've seen. Laughing

Speaking of tallpacks, there's a narrow wall on my house where a tallpack fits perfectly. Razz

When tallpacks are used right it doesn't bother me but when you see them mounted on 2ft 4X4 posts to be used as path lights or mounted on a ceiling you start disliking them. Razz Laughing

A floodlight, aimed downwards at an angle here would still make a lot more sense. I'm guessing they used UF cable not NM, but the "conduit" entry to the fixture the way they did it is not liquid tight. I suspect the photocontrol, aimed up like that, would also get water in it especially if they didn't use a gasket between the cover plate and the box.

I actually laughed out loud at Mike's comment about those tallpacks being used as path lights...personally (my opinion only) I think those tallpacks and wallpacks look ugly...

Interesting use of what looks like a dish mounting bracket, but at least the fixture is positioned correctly. The only total fail I see here is the connector where the cable enters the fixture on the bottom is not a watertight connector. The wire looks like its UF romex and because of where it is should be fine

I've actually pretty recently saw a walpack mounted like this...except it was on a pole. ill have to get a pic if I can remember where the heck I saw it.
