Shocked Yeah, I thought all 175w mercs were made in North America. I've never heard of a British 175w merc lamp before and it's clear too. Very nice Dave!

wow nice lamp I have never seen ASCOT MV lamps letolon a 175W one (I do have 2 40W 2FT tubes by them but are OSRAM GEC made) there is an 175W MV streetlight down the rood from me. 175W MV streetlights are exstreemly rare in the UK so I hope to save it BTW 175W MV were evalboll in the UK from phillips and were made in belgem and hollond Very Happy

Looks like it is also wearing the European E40 screw base.

I never knew England made lamps to sell in the US. This is cool! Looks well-designed too.

What's with the penny?

I scored this on fleabay, along with two other clear mercs. The penny is there to keep the lamp from rolling around on the table, I wanted to show the frame design.

@Silverliner14B: You can always use the white towel. This works for me to place the bulb any position you want Smile
