with glass cover, much of UV is gone see paper in front of it
you can see here, the harmful uv emissions are filtered out by ordinary glass that came out of a picture frame. the paper instead looks more bluish like they would under ordinary blacklight fluorescents which are safe for us to look at. WARNING i'm paranoid about what some people might do. if you want to do this, make sure you use glass that will effectively filter UV and make sure you are totally protected. ordinary window glass should suffice. make sure the whole thing is stable and safe.

Cool! speaking of black lights, today i went to home Depot and got a F20 and f40 BLB. The F20 is a Philips with the sheild logo and the 90s style endcaps. but IIRC it's from 2003 as the "3" is the second digit on the code... The F40 is also a Philips lamp yet it has Sylvania lifeline endcaps! Shocked both work awesome but they were expensive (10 bucks for the F20, 15 for the f40)

when i tested the f40 BLB in the single lamp preheat industrial unit in my laundry room the washer machine was all colorful becuase of the laundry detergent so my mom was like "keep the light on. i'm gonna clean off the detergent" Laughing

Cool! I still haven't run my germicidal lamp as I need to built some sort of glass enclosure for it.
