Westinghouse OV-15 from Jace!
Just got it in the mail today. It was dirty so I cleaned it off. The refractor he sent me busted in half. :c

So I put the AE refractor from my 115 on this one for now. I need a new refractor!

Preferably glass. xD

It's pretty! Surprised
GullWhiz   [Apr 19, 2011 at 10:11 PM]
You are welcome! No need to sound so demanding on the refractor! Wink
LilCinnamon   [Apr 19, 2011 at 10:21 PM]
How does this look with the AE refractor? xD
Silverliner14B   [Apr 19, 2011 at 11:06 PM]
The same thing happened with my OV15! I later got a replacement glass with the Westy logo.
LilCinnamon   [Apr 19, 2011 at 11:10 PM]
Heh. I never knew that the OV-15's you have to take out screws to take the door off, its not like the other ones.
GullWhiz   [Apr 20, 2011 at 12:05 AM]
You don't need to take screws off....you need to open it in a specifc angle to get the door off....also my OV-15 250 watt had a GE glass refractor.....and later I got a Holophane made refractor with Westinghouse logo, but later I got a Pyrex refractor for Westinghouse which is most likely the OEM refractor for the late 60s OV-15s since I know of a few with those in service! I moved the Holophane Westy one to my OV-15 tudor

Pretty Nice! Cool Looks like the ones in my area that were installed in the early 80s.

Thanks! This weekend I am going to restore it to be as good as new, sandblasting it and giving it a new coat of silver metallic paint, making it look as good as new!
streetlight98   [Apr 20, 2011 at 02:41 PM]
Do you have a picture of the busted refractor?
LilCinnamon   [Apr 20, 2011 at 08:25 PM]
I might be able to get one.

Nice fixture, I would like to get one of these to go with my Crouse-Hinds OV-15
LilCinnamon   [Apr 23, 2011 at 09:33 PM]
Yeah, this fixture is nice, I do want to restore it but it will be hard to find a sandblaster. xD

You could always do it oldschool if you have the time and elbow grease. Laughing Go to a body shop. They'd have one. They would probably charge you, but they'll do it for you. That's the best thing I could Come up with.
LilCinnamon   [Apr 23, 2011 at 09:47 PM]
Body shop?
streetlight98   [Apr 23, 2011 at 09:48 PM]
Where they paint the body cars. It's called a body shop. My relative owns one and he painted my OV25 for me.XD
LilCinnamon   [Oct 15, 2011 at 07:51 AM]
At least I have a refractor for this now! It may have small chips in it but it's perfect for this fixture. Fits a little loose but it'll do.

Cool, you found a refractor! Very Happy
GullWhiz   [Oct 15, 2011 at 07:23 PM]
Just be happy with what you got....I've been looking for a LM refractor and a Unidor refractor and some OV-10 and OV-12 refractor clips and a GE glass refractor for a long while...do you see me complaining Rolling Eyes

I also seek AK-10 Westy Cuplight...but am I complaining or asking around more....nah

Be happy!

My OV25 lens fits rather loose. And Jace, I've been away this weekend, so i'll try to get the pic, but it'll take soem time....
