I've only seen 400 and 1000 watt probe start metal halide fixtures used in my area.

What city is this in?

Lake Zurich, Illinois. The rest of their city-owned lights are all mercury of various types, mostly m250r1s and ITT 113s. All on concrete poles.

The only MHs here were 400W probe start lamps used in 400W mercs by NGrid right before they stopped servicing 400 watters according to Joe Maurath. I was unaware of that until i mentioned that MH lamps could direct retro-fit into mercs for 400W.

There's some MH streetlights in Toronto. Most of them are gumballs from 50 to 150 watts but there are also some 250w cobraheads too.

There are some low wattage MH acorn lights in downtown Providence (and some mercury vapor ones too! Very Happy ) but they're owned by either the city or the state. They might be maintained by NGrid though...

we had a few temporary lights that were MH running MV lamps but they were removed after road was fixed, however there is one 400W MH OVX lighting a intersection off the highway in my area ...it was a 400W HPS OVX before...another 400W OVX had a bad cap and apears the cap was replaced
also my area is just starting to get LED Sad we had one near the fourth of July replace a perfectly good 175W MV M-250 but i think it was just to get more light cause the darn thing is bright Shocked
then we also had another M-250 (175W) get replaced with an OVY in 175W MV recently...go figure
