Nice! Must be a early Philips lamp too since I've never seen one with the Westy style "preheat-rapid start" on it.

yeah there was E8 on this end of the lamp but on the other side so May 1988? Looks virtually NOS lol. all that lamps have rough endcaps though. Some oxidation i guess? It's very humid and damp down there so i assume the lights have a ton of rust on top too. the fixture i'm sending you has a TON of rust on top. It's going to look good when you get it though. Wink Cool

Nice lamp! I have a pic of one like it in my gallery on LG! These were the late-80s Philips F40 etch, the first being the mid-80s"Philips-Westinghouse lamps", then this, then the early 90s version with the UPC code, then, after EPACT in the mid 90s the "Home Light", then the "Cool White Plus" Alto, then, after July 2012 the "Cool White Supreme". So there's a basic chronology of the Philips etches for you.

thanks. Yeah this one is marked E88 so May 1988.

Is this the light with the low-profile ballast channel? If so, maybe that's not a Norelco...in that one pic the endcap sure looked like it!

yep this is the same lamp. there are no norelcos.
