Were the traffic lights incandescent back then? We still had incandescent traffic lights back in 2008.

Nope they were already LED. In fact incandescent traffic lights have been phased out very fast throughout the province in the early 2000s. Neutral

I didn't see a single incandescent signal in Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine during a recent trip. Saw only one in MA plus a very small number of inc flashing yellow lights. Here in California there are still some inc ones left.

The only places I've seen incandescent traffic lights are in the small town of Mont-Joli, QC, and I think in the downtown Montreal area. In my area there are a few 4-way beacons still incandescent and MAINTAINED incandescent. Shocked

There's still a small number of fully incandescent signals here, and Toronto has a lot of signals with incandescent yellow lights and incandescent beacons left...still maintained too.
