R47 Insides - Updated
Here's a picture of my R47 after I swapped out the corroded original terminal block with a newer one I found yesterday, and after I repainted it and added a ground block back in April last year. Thats kind of odd, I wonder what happened to the rest of the fixture.
joe_347V   [Jan 24, 2011 at 02:53 AM]
@Jace err maybe????? [I though Gulls were supposed to say MINE MINE MINE Razz ]

@Niall yeah I thought it was odd too, I looked around the store and could only find (aside from household and fluorescent fixtures) some Cooper 400w MH highbays for sale.
gailgrove   [Jan 24, 2011 at 02:54 AM]
How much where the highbays?
joe_347V   [Jan 24, 2011 at 02:55 AM]
Don't know but I'm guessing around 15-20 ish
gailgrove   [Jan 24, 2011 at 02:57 AM]
Maybe you should get one Smile
LilCinnamon   [Jan 24, 2011 at 03:39 AM]
This looks good!
joe_347V   [Oct 09, 2011 at 10:27 PM]
Update:
I went back and it turns out those highbays weren't for sale and the guy said if they were they would have sold them for 200 and the lamp is worth 70 alone. Rolling Eyes

I picked up a LED exit sign with emergency lights and a 70w CMH PAR while I was there though.

@Niall hmm, I'll have to see if I can clear some space for it though.

@Ian thanks, you do a great job painting your lights too.
gailgrove   [Oct 09, 2011 at 10:32 PM]
Wow, if they where selling them for $200 you'd better get a brand new one. Rolling Eyes
joe_347V   [Oct 09, 2011 at 10:37 PM]
And they were only old probe start ones too. Shocked Rolling Eyes
gailgrove   [Oct 09, 2011 at 10:41 PM]
And those horribly expensive $70 lamps. Rolling Eyes I'd love to know where they buy them.
joe_347V   [Oct 09, 2011 at 11:03 PM]
Me too considering the overpriced box stores only sell them for 30 each. Rolling Eyes

Maybe the lamp was made with ultraclear glass and gold plated connectors. Laughing
gailgrove   [Oct 09, 2011 at 11:04 PM]
Better last 40,000 hours too! And none of that exploding stuff either. Laughing
joe_347V   [Oct 09, 2011 at 11:07 PM]
Also needs something to prevent that pesky colour shifting too. Laughing
gailgrove   [Oct 09, 2011 at 11:25 PM]
Yep - its got to stay at it's full lumen output and stay the same colour it's entire life! Razz
streetlight98   [Oct 10, 2011 at 02:31 AM]
And while theyre at it, they might as well make it totally indestructable. Smile Razz That way if the gull starts doing juming jacks on a DuraBlah, the lamp will hit the gorund, not shatter and still work. Laughing
joe_347V   [Oct 10, 2011 at 02:54 AM]
Now the question is: will you pay 70 bucks for it? Laughing
streetlight98   [Oct 10, 2011 at 02:55 AM]
Not unless it comes with a lifetime warrenty ans is garenteed to outlive me. Laughing
joe_347V   [Oct 10, 2011 at 06:10 AM]
Sorry extended warranty is extra. Laughing
streetlight98   [Oct 10, 2011 at 01:48 PM]
EXTRA! Mad Laughing No thanks, i'll just buy a mercury vapor lamp for it for under 15 dollars. Razz
joe_347V   [Oct 10, 2011 at 06:02 PM]
