Interesting, I know Advance made a RS ballast for F4-8 T5 lamps.

yeah they were all like that. Interestingly there's a bracket on the top that was used to mount these. I'm debating wheter or not to do the same so that way the label can be read. I'll probably have to redesign the fixture a little bigger than i originally planned since it'd be crammed with two ballasts in each fixture. There will be a lot of splices too since the sockets have permanet leads.

Robertson So-called Preheat Ballast

No no, it's rapid start, but it's labeled as preheat lol. Three of these ballasts were indeed preheat though. All the ballasts are from the 90s and some were NOS while some appeared used. This one was NOS and was in a combo fixture with a F8T5 preheat choke.
