Vintage Ray-O-Vac flashlight, ready for Irene!

This is one of the very last items I found in the original dumspter diving place I went to before it gets away. All it needs was fresh batteries, that's it! Even the original lamp was still working (and still does as of now!).

Its first real time test was during a uselessly produced blackout that happened sometime last year (in October I think). I think I already told the story about it somewhere here, I don't remember where though XD. Anyway... this was the flashlight that I had with me when looking around what was happening outside in the complete darkness, and I mean COMPLETE, like not a single light closer than a km away, aside from one heck of a row of car headlights and two firefighters trucks!

... just plain WEIRDO XD.

Well, since that night, I consider this flashlight to be reliable enough to serve during a power outage. And if something happens to it, I have three backup flashlights, no wait FOUR LOL.
