Nice saves! Cool
I woulda deff grabbed them fluorescents too Smile (then cleaned them up, and if they had it gotten rid of the "circuit interrupting" lampholders)
along with the Win 98 & ME CD's (I actually still use 98 almost daily .. and coulda made use of that ME CD earlier this year LOL)
The battery backup I woulda automatically assumed was dead and left it...

How come rapid start ballasts always say to use "disconnect lamp holders" or "circut interrupting" ones? Why would you get rid of them? nice saves btw. Cool

Its meant as a 'safety' thing - so when you remove the lamp, it cuts power to the ballast.
Some of them are junk and don't make very good contact (especially after multiple lamp inserts/removals) so I kinda just make a point to change (or disable) them Laughing

I've only seen them specified on residential single LPF F20 and F40 RS ballasts...the HPF single lamp and all double lamp ballasts don't have them. Well aside from slimline ballasts but it kinda makes sense for those since they're instant start.

Nice grabs!

I've only seen them on the 1-lamp LPF RS ballasts as well (those are the ones i tend to "fix" .lol.)

Yep (magnetic) slimline's have a similar type of thing...never had a problem with the lampholders on those Smile
