Another OV-10 still in service!!!
Yep. Once again on its signature arm. If you see a 6' underbraced upsweep here it likely held a OV-10IB when it was installed. This one has a badly browned lens. I unfortunatly have never seen either of these beauties lit at night but I sure would love too. Old insulator and pole too. It looks like it was serviced by Narragansett Electric in the early 90s when they used baby blue colored PCs. Please pardon the reflection as it was about noontime and I really wanted to capture a pic of all of these nice lights that i know of.

I have never seen one of these in person but i know on I-290 just outside of Worcester, I have seen Form 400 power packs still lighting away.

This is the only style clamshell I've ever seen in person. They seem to have been a big thing with Narragansett Electric. I want to be around when these come down. Very Happy

Nice find! I haven't seen any of these in my area, I only know of a few privately owned Form 400 Powerpacks left here.

Thanks! I know of three of these (used to be 5). This one, the one two poles ahead of this one, plus another in Hopkinton, RI. There were two more on a bridge over RI Rte 10 but they were replaced by 100W M-250R2s. Crying or Very sad One was on a metal pole on the bridge and the other was on a wood pole at the beginning of the bridge. The one at the bridge can be seen on streetview here, and the one on the metal pole can be seen here. I'll try to get pics of the spots where they were. I don't recall them being there after 2006 but the streetview is from 2008 so I'm obviously mistaken.
