Very cool! Thorns are super rare in north America

Thanks, I rarely come across Thorn too but I heard they're more common in Canada.

I have a Great Britain Thorn F15T8 "Tropical Daylight" lamp. Nice color but rather dim IMO... Laughing

tropical daylight? what color temp is that? Shocked

6500K-7000K-ish I would guess. I think the lamp might be in my gallery, or it may have been deleted during the pic space crunch...you'll have to check.

ahh so it's bluish then?
GEsoftwhite100watts   [Jun 21, 2013 at 07:13 PM]
Oh yes quite bluish and dim. Right now it's installed at my house in Alaska in an old 15w preheat undercabinet light (which is mounted on the ceiling!) Laughing. It looks weird next to two 2700K 13w GE Helical spiral CFLs and an old 22w Lights of America preheat circline adapter with a 90s 22w GE cool white lamp which is in my gallery...looks weird with all those colors...
