GE F15T12
NOS from Restore, here's a GE Canada F15T12/CW lighting up one of my signs. The fixture was from an old aquarium hood that had noisy ballast. I swapped the ballast with a GE one (the ones that underdrive F20 lamps) and the original ballast will probably be revarnished over the summer.

that's a really good idea to light a sign ! its even full cutoff , so DSA would approve Laughing
i also have an F15T12 aquarium hood and an F14T12 version laying around with no ballast
i would like to get a few signs one day for display

Thanks Aaron, it's also lit from above to be fully DSA compliant. Laughing I have another aquarium hood too, the light in that one uses a F8T5 and is also preheat.

For the signs try looking around in scrap places, DOT yards, or if you don't mind paying in antique shops and eBay. I have a bunch of signs in my room mostly from Ontario but I also have a I-5 sign from CA. Cool

yeah most of my signs came from my grandpa who scraps. he saved the signs for me when i was little. pretty cool idea though i wouldn't want to use an NOS 1970 lamp on a regular basis.
