MUCH improved! Nothing wrong with those Mark III's, they are long-lasting ballasts.

The American Fluorescent fixture i have seems to have a pretty good ballast. The EOL protection works well as proved by a failing GE F17T8 EcoLux. I plan to start using F20T12 lamps in it though since the strip lights in the closets upstairs use F20T12 lamps and the ballast in the wrap is rate for T12 lamps too.

Thanks! When I first got this fixture it came with a off brand F32 IS ballast which I switched with an older full case size Advance F32 IS ballast. That was later replaced with a Philip-Advance magnetic T8 RS ballast from the 80s before I changed it into its current config.
