Well I recently went exploring inside an abandoned radar station near me. I found lots of old lights and equipment lying around but I discovered a well hidden doorway that led to a set of stairs that led to the basement. Inside the basement was a small room with some equipment that appeared to be some kind of ancient switchgear and control equipment. Not knowing what it was for, I found an old and rusty door that seemed to have been untouched for at least a century.

Slowly, I opened the door and what I saw next left in me awe. There it was this large equipment room glowing eerily green. It the centre of this room was the source of the mysterious green glow. This gigantic object shaped like the half of an egg, having a slight low hum struck me by surprise. This object was apparently some kind of ancient reactor that generated electricity with the glow being a byproduct of its operation. Oddly enough its means of operation seems to unexplainable using contemporary science.

There were around two high power electrical lines that emerged from this object. The first line came directly from the glowing object and was connected directly to this huge iron core which apparently regulated the massive amount of power coming from the glowing object, while the other line was connected to a cylindrical device before being its connection to the regulator. Why, I do not know but my best guess would that this cylindrical device helps to attenuate any spikes and transients from the device.

After the regulator the wires then led to a hole but I did not have enough time to investigate this matter more. Anways, after an indepth reexamination of the controls I concluded that this must have been some kind of electricity generating plant, perhaps dating 1000 or more years ago. I would assume that the government had wanted to cover up the existence of this plant but I guess time had erased the existence of this room to them and they simply forgot about this plant when they abandoned this radar station in the late ‘70s.

I guess I shouldn’t be even posting this or this pic of the generator room but this could lead to the next breakthrough in energy. If you don’t hear from me again I might have been captured….

Think of it what you want but I can assure you that this really happen to me...

I have the same problem with my M-400. The reflector and refractor don't meat at the socket end. My OV25 lines up perfect with no free space.

Actually, that's a very interesting picture, unique perspective.

Thanks, I guess this is what birds see when they nest inside a light Very Happy

The birds here made a nest inside the optical assembley of the 100w HPS M-250R2 in front of my house in 2008. Those acrylic lenses GE makes are very thin and easy for birds to break. Now there's anoter M-250R2, 100w HPS, with one of those Lexalite refractors. I wish I would have seen them change out the light because I would have gotten a light with a free birds' nest Very Happy

Are you sure they didn't just replace the lens?
joe_347V   [Jul 24, 2011 at 10:46 PM]
Coincidentally this light actually had a bird nest inside when I got it, I guess the bird guard didn't work so well. Laughing

The paint was worn on the old light so I noticed a difference when I woke up and loked out my window.
