Was browsing around today and I found a shop that still had a bunch of 175w mercury yardlights for sale. I don't think they're NOS since the shop opened in 2011 or 2012.
Well at that price, no wonder they're still on the shelf. The price difference between the HPS & mercury is unusually small....perhaps they are banking on people paying a premium for them because they have been discontinued?
These seem to be the average price here in B.C., some places wanting $109.99 for the fixture with the 12" refractor. When these fixtures go on sale at this store they usually knock $20 off the regular price.
Here in Florida, 175 watt MV yardlights went for less than $25 at regular price. They went for anywhere between $20-$25 at Wal-Mart, Lowes, and Home Depot.
