Testing a Watthour Meter
Here's a new style digital meter (not sure if "smart") meter being tested using a old GE meter base I has lying around wired for 120v. The load being metered is a 135w signal lamp.

Interestingly even though the brand is different it looks a lot like this Sensus Icon in use in my service. I wonder if Invensys sold off their meter division to Sensus.

Oh and in case you're wondering here's how the insides look.

The only thing you didn't answer was where you got it from? Nice meter anyways!

Thanks! I got it from a place called Active Surplus near Concord.

A different one from the one with the flat lenses?
joe_347V   [Feb 13, 2012 at 01:02 AM]
Yep, the one with the flat lenses is downtown while this one is south of Concord on Steeles. There's still one meter left.

Okay, it is on my list of places to go to! I though at first that you meant Concord Ontario.

You still have to go to their downtown store and buy that FCO glass too(which is still there). Razz
