70W MH Ballast Tray
Found a couple of MH ballast trays at the local Restore for less than most HID lamps at the box store, they're for one of those recessed MH wall lights that you see in some stairwells. They also had one of these lumes for sale and a couple more ballast trays but I didn't get them, The ballast in made by Venture.

I've looking for a 70w MH ballast for a while now since I have a couple of 70w MH lamps that I don't have a ballast for and I can run 100w MV lamps on these with the ignitors removed. Maybe I'll convert my R47 to CMH just to see how it looks XD

Very Nice Find Joe.

How much of an overdrive is there by running a 100w MV lamp on a 70w PMH ballast?

i think 100 Watt MV is driven nearly perfect on 70 Watt MH Ballast...but i believe a 100 Watt MH Ballast over drives 100 Watt MV by 25 Watts....not sure.

Yes, a 100 PMH balast overdrives a 100w MV lamp by 25 watts. Is a E26 100w MV lamp the same size as a E26 70w PMH lamp? I may do a lamp swap with the deck light.....

Thanks, and yeah the medium base 100w MVs are the same size as the medium base 70w MHs.

Just be sure to disconnect or disable the ignitor when you run MV on your light though.
