what's a lumiline? a linear incandescent? so are they for picture lamps or portable heat fixtures or something?
joe_347V   [May 29, 2013 at 09:29 PM]
Yeah it's basically a linear incandescent. I think they were used in picture frames, bathroom mirror lights, early exit signs, and desk lamps. I have a fairly modern 60w GE lumiline but I don't think it works.

how do you install them? they're not screw-in and they don't have bi-pins...
joe_347V   [May 29, 2013 at 10:07 PM]
There's a socket that snaps on the ends and that snaps into the fixture. Here's a shot of one.

ahh cool. so the endcaps pop off? looks like the ends come with the fixture and get reused when the lamp gets replaced?

Hi Mike, here is mine show how it snaps off when you replace them at Details of Lumiline Connection Cool
