What are the lumens rating for each wattage of these bulbs?
streetlight98   [Aug 26, 2011 at 06:23 PM]
I'd guess about the same as a standard 40, 60, or 75w lamp.
Silverliner14B   [Aug 26, 2011 at 07:38 PM]
The lumens are printed on the lower left corner of the packages.

But, I can't read Sad

K I checked my Indonesian Feit bulbs I bought at Wally before, the 38w is 450L, the 57w is 760L, and the 71w is 1040L. About 8-10 percent less than corresponding full wattage bulbs.

Thanks Smile What a coincide, the Commonwealth Edison 77 Watts in my collection has the same lumens output as the 71 Watts version Shocked

No more standared ( IF & SW) incandescents any more at the Wally near my house. Also most of the grocery and drug stores no longer carry any. Sad

Here the 100w lamps are all gone but there are still 75w lamps left over on the shelves. My mom won't let me buy any more incandescent lamps since i have "too many" lol.

100w lamps are still on the shelves but they'll be gone by the end of 2013 along with 75w bulbs. 60w and 40w bulbs will stay until 2015 IIRC.

I still see the 100W lamps in the globe shape. Were only the A-shaped lamps affected by the ban?
joe_347V   [May 29, 2013 at 09:31 PM]
I think only A shaped are covered by the ban. Globes, appliance bulbs, rough service and most specialty types should be exempt.
streetlight98   [May 29, 2013 at 09:35 PM]
ahh. well we can all start using gloe shaped lamps then lol. my dad's parents (who have the shelf of random incandescents and the T17 and the plunger industrial F40s) were all worried about the ban. I told hem halogens look just like incandescents, are dimmable, and have a pretty similar color and that they save energy too. I put 43W halogens in their 4 lamp chandelier in the dining room, replacing the incandescents for more light. Even though it uses 12 more watts, they only need the thing up to 2/3 brightness so it's probably saving a few watts. When it's up all the way, the lamps are too bright lol.
