That Silverliner is looking rather sad, I'd say these poles are about 70 feet tall! We have some this tall around here as well.
GullWhiz   [Sep 17, 2011 at 02:53 AM]
That arm is kinda mounted strangely....unless it is about to come off!!!!!!
gailgrove   [Sep 17, 2011 at 02:57 AM]
Since there are guy wires on this pole they have used a little bracket to mount the arm off the side of the pole, it's quite common here when there is conduit or wires on the pole and the arm can't be mounted directly to the front of the pole.
streetlight98   [Sep 17, 2011 at 02:57 AM]
It's on the SIDE of the pole. Shocked
GullWhiz   [Sep 17, 2011 at 02:59 AM]

gailgrove   [Sep 17, 2011 at 03:01 AM]
It does look rather odd from this angle.l Razz

You should snag some of the old insulators when they get taken down.

I've always thought those side of pole arm mounts were a bit odd too Razz.

It's a good idea though, it's a lot better than them doing this! Notice the hanging relay Shocked
joe_347V   [Sep 17, 2011 at 03:10 AM]
Shocked What's with the hanging relay?
gailgrove   [Sep 17, 2011 at 03:11 AM]
I think it was a pole renewal gone wrong!
joe_347V   [Sep 17, 2011 at 03:12 AM]
Looks like it, I see a bare patch right below the relay.
GullWhiz   [Sep 17, 2011 at 03:13 AM]
can you get an actual picture of that??? Taken by yourself?!
LilCinnamon   [Sep 17, 2011 at 03:18 AM]
Hanging relay?? I don't see one.
joe_347V   [Sep 17, 2011 at 03:20 AM]
Yeah there's a relay hanging from it's feed wires on the Streetview that Niall linked to. Shocked
gailgrove   [Sep 17, 2011 at 02:20 PM]
Jace I should be able to get a picture of it, hopefully within the next few weeks, it's a bit out of that way.

Cool then, Brampton is a bit far for me to go to just to get a picture of a light. Razz
