Here replacement wiring is always ABC on poles, only on pylons do they use bare conductors. 11kV, 33kV or 400VAC is still ABC and only over 66kV is it bare.

Why so many wires? Are these distribution lines?

@Michael 12 primary lines is quite common here, these would be larger distribution lines that then supply smaller streets and finally businesses and homes, these lines do power the buildings along the road they are on though.

They're replacing the utility poles in my area, turns out the replacements look like they're almost 70 feet tall
