GE Self Ballasted CMH PAR
Restore find, these normally cost a pretty penny. I've seen them used a lot in stores with older halogen track lights but I suppose LED PARs will eventually wipe these out.

Neat! How's the startup/restrike sequence/time?
joe_347V   [Apr 29, 2015 at 01:56 AM]
Startup is just like any other CMH so basically it starts off a dim 3000K colour, then looks like a merc for a few seconds and then shifts back to 3000K as it gets brighter. As for restrike, it behaves like any other electronically ballasted PSMH. Kinda odd seeing it strike without the BzzzT from the ballast that magnetically ballasted HID lamps have.

Nice find, Joe Smile

But does it take more than, say, a minute to restrike? (I'm not familiar with PSMH). But yeah a silent HID, that's always weird!

PSMH takes several minutes to restrike (maybe slightly shorter probe MH but longer than HPS; I'd say around the same time as MV or maybe a little longer.). Maybe these restrike faster than a normal lamp though.

Ok, since I was also curious I tested the restrike on this. It took 1:30 mins to restrike and a little more than 3 mins for it to fully warmup from a restrike.

On the other hand my 39w PSMH which is also electronically ballasted took 7 mins to restike. Shocked
