GE 400w Bonusline Clear Lit
Here's a shot of my GE Bonusline 400w merc lit up again, this time on the proper 400w ballast. I got this used but the arc tube is still pretty clear. I've since polished the base with so Brasso so it's nice and shiny now.

AWESOME dude! Five stars- great pic and great lamp!
Is it fully warmed up in this pic?
How long can you leave this running? For me a 400w MH was WAY too bright- I was judging brightness from the light spilling through a doorway!
I see a GE traffic light in the background...

I think it was fully warmed up, I actually haven't lit it up since this pic since it's my display lamp. I've yet to light up my 100w BT-25s mercs too.

The GE traffic light is from either the 60s or 50s and still has it's original GE glass lenses. There used to be a lot of them in Toronto. Cool Most were either scrapped or retrofitted to LED in the last 10 years though.

Cool, especially that it's a display lamp! I have a few lamps on display at my house in Alaska, like that 15w 1940s GE incandescent I posted on LG and a few other vintage/rare lamps.
Does that traffic light have the true weird-wattage signal lamps?

It came with 3 60w Hytron Traffic Signal bulbs but I swapped them out with clear 40w appliance bulbs in the green and amber and a 60w fan bulb in the red. I used A15 bulbs since their filament matches the original signal bulbs. The red got a 60w since the old lens blocked quite a bit of light.
